Project + Business Consulting

Work can feel good

We spend much of our waking lives engaged in work. For some folks, work is a means to an end: money to pay bills and have a little fun. For many, work is a vocation or even a calling: it holds the power of conferring a sense of purpose and meaning to our lives. Either way, most of us spend a lot of time working. So, whether you want to get from it a sense of purpose, or simply a paycheck, there is a big quality-of-life payoff in making your workplace a place that feels good.

Do you…

  • Run a business or non-profit?

  • Manage a team or division within a larger organization?

  • Or, serve on a board?

What do I do?

  • What are we doing that’s working? What’s not working? What am I missing because I’m too close to it—too invested in my own methods or holding the project too dearly? What might an outsider see with fresh eyes? Use individual sessions or a group retreat to assess current performance, identify directions for growth, and to build strength, resilience, and energy within your team.

  • Facilitated discussion to address ruptures in workplace relationships, whether between staff, between business partners, or between employees and leadership. This may be appropriate for an isolated incident, or for more entrenched and persistent problems. Conflict may be resolved in a single session, a series of sessions, or through facilitated group work.

  • Identify what makes your team work to their potential, and how you can boost performance. Refine what it is you’re trying to create—not only in the service or product you offer to your clients or customers, but in the day-to-day experience of your staff. Build a staff that wants to work, and is invested in your organization’s success.
